Getting to the museum

The Solvay esplanade and the Ville-Haute in Charleroi are undergoing major building and road works. Traffic has become more difficult, but BPS22 remains accessible at its usual times.

Directional signs have been installed in the museum area to guide you to the entrance. Here are some useful links and information on how to get to and park near the museum. If you are lost, don't hesitate to call us and we will try to guide you through the meanders of the Ville-Haute's construction sites. Take heart!!!

As the Solvay esplanade is closed, the entrance to the museum is only accessible via rue Lebeau. Go to the end of rue Lebeau and walk along the BPS22 building using the PRM access ramp until you reach the BPS22 entrance door.

There are two main ways to enter Charleroi and park near BPS22:

Enter the city centre via Avenue Jules Henin. Continue straight on Avenue de Waterloo (ignore the dead end sign). Turn right into rue Clément Lyon. Turn right into rue Zénobe Gramme. Turn left into Rue Lebeau. BPS22 is accessible at the end of this street. To park in the neighbourhood, use the avenues and streets on this itinerary (PAY PARKING) / See this itinerary in Google Maps

Enter the city centre via the new exit of the Charleroi ring road (R9) which gives direct access to the car parks of the Exhibition Centre. Go to rue du Fort or to rue du Mambourg and park there (FREE PARKING 4 HOURS). Then follow this itinerary on foot: Go up towards the roundabout at the junction of Boulevard Solvay and Boulevard Janson to reach Rue Zenobe Gramme. Walk up Rue Zénobe Gramme to Rue Lebeau. The BPS22 is accessible at the end of this street / See this route in Google Maps

The arrival station in Charleroi is Charleroi-Sud.
The Métro/Tram (Lines 2 or 3) or bus stop is Beaux-arts.
