Family space

News

In keeping with the Little Museum concept, the BPS22 asked the Brussels association Art Basics for Children (ABC)to design a space devoted to creativity and encouraging awareness of art.

Every year two exhibitions of works from the Hainaut Province collection are shown one after the other at the Little Museum. The works are hung at the eye-level of a young visitor and offer multiple perspectives on a theme which often echoes other exhibitions at the BPS22. In this way the Little Museum invites families to go and see art together and take the time to ponder the subjects addressed by the exhibitions.

Designed by ABC together with the Little Museum, the Family Space was conceived in order to extend this shared experience. In a subdued environment, young visitors have access to a regularly renewed selection of books on loan by the Langlois Library of the University of Labour, and creative workshops to experiment freely and to play panels where they can express all their creativity. A space to discover and experience as a family!
