There are a multitude of dialogues between dance and the visual arts and col­lab­o­ra­tions between chore­o­g­ra­phers and visual artists have led to major works since the beginning of the 20^th century. The conference addresses the inter­sec­tion between these disciplines, with a particular interest in the evolution of the exchanges between them. Since the 1970s, con­tem­po­rary dance has become very focused on exper­i­men­ta­tion in con­tem­po­rary art and visual artists have brought the movement into the field of visual arts through per­for­mances. These days, we go even further, visual artists create chore­o­gra­phies and dancers occupy museums.
