Glue/paper/scissors: collage!

An artistic technique that emerged at the start of the twentieth century, paper collage has retained its place in con­tem­po­rary art, despite the appearance of the electronic form of cut-and-paste. In a society based on images, this method of manual creation plays with com­po­si­tions by favouring tactile emotions, inten­si­fy­ing an ​“aesthetic of frag­men­ta­tion and shock” (Dominique Baqué), while deploying the semantic possibilities.
