Sunday + than free

Ten years ago, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation introduced free admission to museums on the first Sunday of each month. Today, nearly 150 museums in Brussels and Wallonia participate in this democ­ra­ti­sa­tion of access to culture.

The BPS22 is one of the few museums to offer free admission all year round to school and association groups, who are accompanied by museum mediators. Because price is not the only obstacle to access to culture! The feeling of ille­git­i­ma­cy, lack of under­stand­ing or indif­fer­ence towards museums, especially those of con­tem­po­rary art, are perhaps more powerful obstacles. At the BPS22, democ­ra­ti­sa­tion is therefore also and above all translated into support for all audiences. Like on this Sunday, which is more than free!
