At home: contemporary art and housingAperitif conference

The encounter echoes the “Dedans et Dehors… !?” [Indoors and Outdoors] exhibition at the BPS22 Little Museum and the period of lockdown enforced by the Coronavirus. It will discuss our relationship with the domestic sphere, the indoors, our private space, residence or home through many contemporary works, raising both personal and collective concerns. Inspired by the work of Mona Chollet, the lecture invites us to question the relationship between the house as a place of protection, well-being and refuge, but also of withdrawal into oneself, and even confinement, simultaneously alluding to the social disparities this involves.
