The four elements

PETIT MUSÉE

The Petit Musée is an educational space presenting a selection of works from the collection displayed at children’s eye level. This summer, a low table and activity sheets are available for younger visitors, who are invited to sit down and create in this colourful space designed especially for them!

Chosen in connection with the exhibition by photographer Hervé Charles (Albedo, currently showing at BPS22), the works in the Petit Musée evoke the four elements considered essential to the makeup of the world: earth, water, air and fire. Far from merely depicting them, the selection explores the many ways in which nature – in its broadest sense – can be understood and represented.

The Petit Musée can be discovered either as an introduction to or a continuation of the Hervé Charles exhibition, whose photographs allow viewers to come remarkably close to the elements themselves.

Feel free to request activity sheets at the museum reception.
