Look at me! Images of women in contemporary art

For different reasons, artists and art history have contributed to man­u­fac­tur­ing certain, par­tic­u­lar­ly con­ven­tion­al, images of women. This lecture attempts to understand the origin of these images and appraise the challenges to them by modern and con­tem­po­rary artists; a perspective that finds an echo among current demands.
