Video spot

As an initiation for the year focusing on the pre­sen­ta­tion of the Collections of the Hainaut Province and BPS22, the Museum offers a selection of videos allowing discovering many different facets of this heritage intrin­si­cal­ly linked with society issues.
In parallel, the BPS22 associates itself to the Festival KICKS ! - Regard(s) sur la jeunesse(glance(s) at youth) and proposes a zoom on the video by Emmanuel Van der Auwera, A certain amount of clarity (2014). This work unveils the reactions of adolescents when they are faced with an extremely violent scene broadcast on the Internet. The artist approaches the per­verse­ness of this sort of phenomenon by posing a reflection around notions of identity, manip­u­la­tion and conflicts that perfectly echo the pre­oc­cu­pa­tions of this fifth edition of the KICKS !

The Mediation department will organise debates and workshops around the questions raised by the video.
